Slack....then Move and Shake

OK..... I have been super slack updating the blog!!!! I guess I try not to just post shit so..... sometimes you need to revamp your thoughts and just break! My mission was three times per week to be "blogging" but...... well as you can see it has yet happened. Business is a bit slow hopefully due to the fact that the kids are just starting school. I hope we can kill it during wedding season..... I can not fail, I will not fail! We play different music in the store and I tell you depending on the beats your attitude changes. I know as many of you do that you need more, want more and more important want to move and shake! I am not referring to the beat that the system is laying down but the shake of success that you all feel. It may be as a parent, business owner or just a super productive employee. The shake that moves you to be the best. The best at life. The arrogance that you need in this economy to stomp the others that want a piece of your life, your action. The same stomp that makes you move to the music can propel you to the top of your game. I tell myself I am the best. You need to tell yourself the same. You may be selling on e-bay or trying to get a business started or maybe just living. Step it up. Set that auction HIGH, set your goals HIGHER and make your whole presence HIGHEST!

Even being frustrated makes me want to help others, it still makes me want. It still makes me believe that I was designed to be better than I am now. I strive with faith to be the best. The best parent, husband, employer, person, brother, son, etc... I can. I may not always succeed but..... that's life!@

OK.... Go get UM' maybe you to have been slack but not move and shake!

Kindness

Sometimes you are shocked! Sometimes.... people go WAY WAY WAY out of there way to show you that what you have done is a great thing.

My wife and I make cupcakes, we have yet to cure any illnesses or save the earth from pollution but we do make cupcakes!!...... We have been told they are good.... we have been told "they make my toes curl"...... WOW that's pretty good! But when someone who lives states away calls your local paper and professes that they "need to come do a piece" on us.... Well that's pretty remarkable. I want to thank her.... I want to thank her not for calling the press----yes, that's good to, but for being so flattering and kind. She made both our days. We work very hard, very long and put a lot love into our product.

I guess, I need to be kinder,,,, I try.... After today, I think I am changed! Thank you for that!

I urge all of you to show your appreciation for what others do, it may be the person bagging your grocery's or the doctor taking care or you who knows it may be the toll taker at the toll booth.... everyone want to be acknowledged.... you can make someones day!

JUST TRY it you too may feel enlightened!

This is to let people know when good happens----- BE THANKFUL! I am very thankful for the week we have had so far. I want to say "THANK YOU" to everyone who has supported us so far and most of all I want to thank my wife and family for dealing with all the ups and downs that come with business.

No matter what happens I need to be thankful....SO do you... because if you are reading this you should be thankful..... you have a computer, internet access, a place to set your STUFF and probably so so much more. We all neglect the little things. I know I do. I have to step back look and then breath!

I know the road ahead will be tough... I know there will be another bad week, someone who says we suck or people trying to enforce stupid rules.... It will happen but... I hope that the good outweighs the bad.

If there is anyone who needs help.... I will do whatever I can! I know it is very hard sometimes to ask but we all need a bit sometimes! We all want more but.... maybe we should be happy with what we got.

I find myself looking at Facebook and what others do or have an say "WOW"- wish I had that, or wish I was there, or just I wish! I bet others may do that looking at me,,, maybe not..... But you know... its all part of a plan, much bigger than I, or you or a WISH!

I think it will be OK. I think it will all work out fine and I really believe what I wish for now is nothing to what I will receive later! You may wish.... because that gives you drive but remember that you too will receive yours in time.

Dream Big

I have to admit that I am a bit flattered about how many people seem to want to start a cupcakery! It seems to be the dream of so many people. I am shocked.

The reason I am writing this is to let you know what you need to know before you start your dream. We seem to think our dreams are easy. That what someone has created is like opening a book and starting to read. That is not always the case.

I want all of you who have a dream to start it. I have to say you need to start in the right place. You need to start on paper, you need to start on Google, you need to start on the place's you do not find fun (like the town hall). Once you have fully done your homework THEN you can start the business. YOU can then potentially think about your dream as a reality.

I have told people to look at the SCORE website for some ideas. I know it is not the fun part but it may be the MOST important. People seem shocked that you need to know demographic data on your target customers or that you need to insure your space, or that you need to get a permit to put a sign on your door. YES, there is a ton of work that needs to be done, most of it is government bull shit, but that's what needs to get done!

I say to all you dreamers that you need to dream, then you need to write, then you need to think and finally you need to act! The action takes the dream to a reality but the thinking makes your dream possible.

I have urged plenty of people to look at my blog for ideas or to get a bit of incite on the work involved but.... who knows if they do. I truly want to help, I want all of you to be successful. The small business may be the country and the worlds only hope.

I believe in anyone with a dream and a drive. No matter what anyone tells you if you want it you can do it! It may sound stupid but I know through faith it is very true. I know all of you at one point or another have overcome some obstacle or task that you did not think you could. I know you wondered how you did it! But deep down I know you know how you did it! It was believing!!!!
